Conflict of Interest Policy

The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (IJMR) requires authors, reviewers, and editors to disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may influence the research, review process, or publication decisions. Transparency regarding conflicts of interest helps maintain the integrity and credibility of the scholarly record.

1. Authors’ Responsibilities

Authors must disclose:

  • Any financial support, funding sources, or sponsorship related to the research.
  • Personal, professional, or institutional relationships that may influence the research outcomes.
  • Any potential conflicts that could affect the interpretation or publication of the manuscript.

Authors are required to provide conflict of interest statements during manuscript submission.

2. Reviewers’ Responsibilities

Reviewers must:

  • Declare any potential conflict of interest before accepting a review assignment.
  • Withdraw from the review process if they have any relationship with the authors, institutions, or research that may affect impartiality.
  • Maintain objectivity and confidentiality throughout the review process.

3. Editors’ Responsibilities

Editors must:

  • Avoid handling manuscripts where a conflict of interest exists.
  • Ensure that editorial decisions are based solely on academic quality, originality, and relevance.
  • Maintain fairness and transparency throughout the publication process.

4. Handling Conflicts of Interest

If a conflict of interest is identified:

  • The journal will take appropriate steps to ensure an unbiased review and decision-making process.
  • A suitable editor or reviewer may be assigned to handle the manuscript.
  • Undisclosed conflicts discovered after publication will be investigated and addressed according to ethical publishing standards.

IJMR follows the principles of transparency and ethical publishing recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

5. Disclosure Statement

Authors must include a conflict of interest statement in their manuscript. If no conflict exists, authors should clearly state:

"The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest regarding the publication of this article."

This statement ensures transparency and helps readers understand any factors that may influence the research or publication process.
