Authorship & Contribution Policy

The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (IJMR) follows transparent authorship practices to ensure that all individuals listed as authors have made meaningful contributions to the research and manuscript preparation. The journal follows internationally recognized authorship principles, including the CRediT (Contributor Roles Taxonomy) framework.

1. Authorship Criteria

Authors listed on a manuscript must have made substantial contributions to one or more of the following:

  • Conceptualization and design of the research.
  • Data collection, analysis, or interpretation.
  • Development of methodology.
  • Drafting or critically revising the manuscript.
  • Approval of the final version of the manuscript.
  • Accountability for the accuracy and integrity of the research.

Individuals who do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately.

2. Corresponding Author Responsibilities

The corresponding author is responsible for:

  • Communicating with the journal during submission, review, and publication.
  • Ensuring that all co-authors approve the final manuscript.
  • Confirming that author information is accurate.
  • Managing communication among authors regarding revisions and publication decisions.
  • Providing required declarations related to ethics, conflicts of interest, and originality.

3. Changes in Authorship

Any changes in authorship after manuscript submission must be requested with:

  • A written explanation for the change.
  • Approval from all listed authors.
  • Confirmation from the corresponding author.

Changes in authorship after publication will only be considered in exceptional circumstances and may require an official correction notice.

4. CRediT Contributor Roles

IJMR encourages authors to specify individual contributions using the CRediT taxonomy, which may include:

  • Conceptualization
  • Methodology

5. Authorship Ethics

IJMR does not accept:

  • Guest authorship (including individuals without meaningful contribution).

  • Ghost authorship (excluding contributors who qualify for authorship).

All authors share responsibility for the integrity and accuracy of the published work.
