Archiving Policy

The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (IJMR) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and integrity of all published scholarly content. The journal follows recognized digital preservation practices to protect published research and maintain permanent access for readers and researchers.

1. Digital Preservation and Archiving Services

IJMR preserves published content through reliable digital archiving systems to ensure long-term availability and protection against data loss.

PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN):
IJMR participates in the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a digital preservation service provided by the Public Knowledge Project for Open Journal Systems (OJS) journals. It ensures secure preservation and future accessibility of published content.

LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe):
IJMR supports LOCKSS-based preservation to enable distributed and secure archival storage of journal content.

2. Open Access Availability

All articles published in IJMR are freely available online through the journal website. Published content, including full text and metadata, is preserved to ensure continued accessibility for the academic community.

3. DOI and Metadata Preservation

IJMR assigns Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) through Crossref to ensure permanent identification, citation tracking, and reliable access to published articles.

4. Publisher and Internal Preservation

The publisher, Host A Journal (Pvt) Ltd, maintains secure backups and preservation practices to protect published content and maintain accessibility.

5. Content Backup and Retrieval

IJMR maintains regular backup procedures including:

  • Secure storage of journal files and databases.
  • Preservation of articles in standard digital formats.
  • Maintenance of article metadata and publication records.
  • Protection against technical failures and data loss.

6. Long-Term Accessibility

IJMR ensures that published articles remain permanently accessible through trusted preservation services, DOI links, and digital archives, even if technical systems or platforms change in the future.

7. Policy Review

This Archiving Policy is reviewed periodically to remain aligned with international digital preservation standards and scholarly publishing practices.

In the event that IJMR ceases publication or the journal website becomes unavailable, archived content will remain accessible through participating preservation services and permanent archival records.
