Complaint & Appeal Policy

The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Research (IJMR) is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and ethical publishing process. The journal provides a clear mechanism for authors, reviewers, and readers to submit complaints and appeals regarding editorial decisions or publication-related issues.

1. Author Complaints

Authors may submit complaints regarding:

  • Delays in the editorial or review process.
  • Communication issues.
  • Concerns related to peer review.
  • Publication errors or policy-related matters.

Complaints should be submitted through the official journal communication channels. The editorial team will review each complaint carefully and provide a response within a reasonable timeframe.

2. Reviewer and Editor Complaints

Reviewers and editors may raise concerns regarding:

  • Unethical practices during the review process.
  • Conflicts of interest.
  • Breaches of confidentiality.
  • Misconduct related to editorial responsibilities.

Such complaints will be investigated confidentially by the editorial team according to ethical publishing standards.

3. Appeal Against Editorial Decisions

Authors have the right to appeal a rejection decision if they believe the decision was made due to:

  • A misunderstanding of the manuscript content.
  • Errors in the review process.
  • Failure to consider important information.

Appeals must include a detailed explanation and supporting evidence. Appeals are reviewed by the Editor-in-Chief or an independent editorial member not involved in the original decision.

4. Complaint Handling Process

IJMR ensures that:

  • All complaints and appeals are handled fairly and confidentially.
  • Decisions are based on journal policies and ethical publishing practices.
  • Appropriate corrective actions are taken when necessary.

5. Response Time and Final Decision

IJMR aims to acknowledge complaints and appeals within a reasonable timeframe. Each case is reviewed independently and handled confidentially by the editorial team.

The final decision regarding complaints or appeals is made by the Editor-in-Chief or designated editorial authority based on journal policies, available evidence, and ethical publishing standards.

The journal follows the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) for handling complaints and appeals.
