The Role of Data Analytics in Shaping Public Health Policies: A Multidisciplinary Review

Abstract

Data analytics has become an integral tool in shaping public health policies worldwide. In Pakistan, where public health challenges are complex and multidimensional, data analytics plays a pivotal role in addressing healthcare disparities, improving resource allocation, and enhancing decision-making in policy formulation. This article presents a multidisciplinary review of the role of data analytics in the public health domain, with a specific focus on Pakistan. It discusses the integration of various data analytics techniques, including predictive modeling, data mining, and big data, to support evidence-based policymaking. Through case studies and literature analysis, this paper identifies the opportunities, challenges, and future potential of leveraging data analytics to create effective public health policies in the Pakistani context.
